Billie and Axel will remain home with us enjoying the desexed pet life. After having pugs in our life, alongside the DDB for the last 12 years, we are venturing deeper into the breeding of these quirky, fun and entertaining little dogs.

Ruby whelped a litter of all fawn puppies on 5th September, sired by Opal x Bowser son Mowgli. We have 1 fawn girl available.

Bella returned a fantastic result of 1:2, total 3 on hips and 0/0 on ebows. We are extreemly happy with the line bred M Litter.
Hali returned a good score of 5:5, total 10 on hips and a not so great elbow score of 1:2.

Both girls are owned by Paul & Sarah in WA, who we are mentoring them in their journey into establishing a DDB kennel.

Sadly, with the emergancy speying of Nala (M Litter) we are concluding our Dogue de Bordeaux breeding journey. She was the last thread holding us together for the hope of the future of our kennel. Sadly, after 14 years in the breed, we will no longer be breeding DDB. We will continue with our pug breeding program.

We have frozen semen from a selection of our boys across a variety of litters, logevity has always been at the forefront of our breeding and we are pleased to offer these boys for the future of our beloved breed. Young Murphy (N Litter), if he passes his health testing, will be available at stud.

We are very happy with Ruby's daughters development and how much Ruby herself has matured over the last 6 months. We are running on Opal's 2 daughters as they are very special to us. Amber (fawn) and Pixie (black) although Pixie doesnt really fit with our gemstone theme so this may change in future

We had her hip & elbow scored recently with results Hips 25 (L13:R12) and elbows 0:0. Abit higher than we would have liked to see but happy that shes balanced and fit.

In the late afternoon on the 7th, Opal went into labour. I was worried so decided to take her for a check to see how pups were fairing. Everything looked ok on ultrasound however we decided to go ahead with a ceasarian as the litter was too precious to risk. When the vet got into the uterus, it was clear the pups were in distress and it was very lucky we made the decision when we did. 5 pups were born and took some time to get going. 2 girls (1 black 1 fawn) and 3 boys (1 black 2 fawn). Opal recovered well and the pups established themselves fairly easily.

Mylah (N Litter) was hip & elbow scored this month and came back with excellent results, Hips 7 (L6:R1) and elbows 0:0

Despite these great scores, we decided to spey her as breeding has taken a toll and we felt she would be best just left to be loved in a pet home.

Many thanks to Ash Godsell for allowing us the priveledge of using Bowser.

After the drama and upset with Luxie, we have decided to desex the females out on breeder terms, leaving only 1 black mask bitch for now. The boys will stay entire to watch them mature and we may collect them for freezing if they pass health scores. For now, I am broken after all the recent events, my heart and my mind are teetering...

On 15/8/23, we sadly recived news that Mia from B litter had passed away. She was the last of her litter to pass at 10.4 years of age.
In  happier news, Ruby our fawn pug, free whelped her litter on 23rd August. She had 3 girls and 5 boys. All fawn to sire Sebendee Astroboy.

The Dragon N Th Wolf) (GOT Litter) was diagnosed with lymphoma and recently lost his short battle on 5th July. His loss will be felt my the many people whom met Rollo throughout his lifetime and he is deeply missed by his owners Ashley & Lucas.

Major drama for Lady Luxie with a huge pyometra, she was lucky to get to the vet when she did and that it didnt rupture. Luxie was in a breeder term home. Because of this, we will no longer be placing females on breeder terms. The lack of immediate action to have noticed and had her seen by a vet weeks prior could have cost her life. She was removed from the home, recovered at home with us and has now been placed in a pet home. Living up to her namesake, Lady Lux is very lucky.
