We had some of the best HD/ED results come in for our "B" Litter with 4/6 (2 not scored) all scoring international grades A which is fantastic not only for our kennel but being able to contribute more data for the breed.
Bae showed well throughout the year and gained her Australian Champion Title with ease. She finished the DOL Breed Point score at #11 Nationally and #1 in WA. Jazz didn't have the show bug and unfortunately had to be retired from our breeding program also. Alice was desexed and started showing in Neuter class. She gained 60 points towards her Neuter Title and finished the year as #1 Neuter Leader Nationally. She was rehomed in November and loves spending her days with brother Ramsey.
We were looking forward to Issy babies with the lovely UK boy Chunk but unfortunately that didn't progress as Issy got the dreaded pyometra and had to be sterilized. Alot of time and research goes into preparing for a litter and this was a big blow to our plans, with our only keepers from Leah x Tonka litters now both sterilized, the line died with them. We still have one of Leah's boy's to continue with, Diesel, her only puppy from our frozen semen litter by Buddy, so we are very grateful.
Tulli came back to us due to personal reasons but has since found a wonderful and understanding home not far from us. She has settled right in and we are all so happy for her.
We welcomed little Ranger to our home and I swear Tonka has guided him from day one as he is so much like him, in more ways than one. They way he greets me, looks at me, his patience, his loving kisses, the way he plays, his ease at show training and the chewing, of everything. Lucky I now have a car with electric rear windows, lol.
Later in the year we had the wonderful opportunity to add another little lass to our home, and baby Iiah joined us in November. She is a beautiful foundation to start again with, and has so many wonderful attributes to move our kennel forward in the future. Her and Ranger, although getting off to a shaky start (iiah wanted nothing to do with him), their bond has grown enormously and they go (almost) everywhere together now. They are wonderful friends and when I watch them play, it reminds me of the way Leah and Tonka use to play, and the strong bond they shared together.
So here's to a wonderful New Year and a bright 2016. Many more plans are in the works so stay tuned...
