During the year we saw an increase in dogue numbers around the confirmation ring in WA. Throughout the year Tonka gained 90 points towards his championship title and we anticipate gaining his final points early 2012. We were very proud when he was awarded Reserve Challenge Dog at the Perth Royal against older competition. Leah started campaigning again mid-year after a 9 month break and has since gained 48 points towards her title.
We attended the Dogue de Bordeaux specialty show and lecture in April where we gained much useful information and met some wonderful people whom we hope we build strong friendships with.
In June we had to make the heart-breaking decision to let our rescue girl Tori gain her wings. It was a hard decision but we knew it was the right one to make. She and Jarrad shared an amazing connection and she will be forever in our hearts and thoughts.
Towards the end of the year and in the space of about 4 months, we were called to help assist with 3 breed rescues, Aurora, Utah and Boof. You can read more about this on our rescue page although Utah is not listed.
Overall we had a pretty eventful year and have plenty of plans to keep just as busy in 2012.
