A big Thanks must be extended to our friend Kristy (formally Clovischein kennel) for taking on iiahs 3 remaining pups and weaning and caring for them for 2 weeks for us. The pups returned at 5 weeks old, eating solids and still with additional formula.
Iiah's little girl affectionately named Dolly, was still tiny but managed to keep up with her much bigger brothers. We decided to run some blood tests as we were certain she must have had a liver shunt of some sort which inhibited her growing at a normal rate but these came back clear. Which was a relief but still provided us with no answers as to why she was 1/5th the size she should have been. Unfortunately, Dolly took a turn and we had to make the hard decision to let her go on the 30th. Hopefully, we get some answers from her autopsy report.
